Footballtennis in Prerov has been played since the 60th of the last century. The first organized tournament was held in 1967 and in August 1969 the 1st championship in Moravia took part there with the participation of eleven teams. The first footballtennis club in Prerov was established in 1970 and included names like Oskrkany, Perutka, Stoklasa, Kolarik, Vavrecka, Szabo, Havlicek, Zapletal and others. In the junior team young talents were prepared.

In the years 1983-89 Prerov took part in the National League of Czechoslovakia, which was then the highest footballtennis competition. That period belongs to names Landa, Jordanek, Blazek, Nemcak, Ploc, Hilcer, Pdzemny, Opravil and Gargulak. 1991 was the year of the coming new generation, whose greatest representatives were Peter Nadymacek and David Perutka. These talents collected many medals including the gold from the European and World Championships beetween 1993-96.

Between 1992-97 Prerov played the highest competition: First Czech League again. This period includes the names of Perutka J., Perutka D., Nadymacek, Frelich, Blazek, Gargulak, Siska, Makara, Valouch, Kvarta, Vanicek. Year 1997 was the year of disasterous floods in Moravia. The Prerov Footballtennis club loses almost the entire property and its grounds are devastated. Real hope at this time came from the youngest players’ team, who became the Czech Champions in 1998 and 1999. Here also lies the tradition of organizing international tournaments.

In 2000 the men team nearly breaks up but the following year sees a start of amazing achievements of the junior team who became the masters of the Czech Republic. In 2003 the general reconstruction of footballtennis grounds was realized and the club began building a new basis for the men’s team - Perutka D., Nadymacek, Perutka J., Miklik O., Miklik T. Pavelka, Dolezel, Ertelt T., Nezval, Kocicka. From 2003 Prerov is back in the First League again and is heading to the Extra League. Since 2005 an international footballtennis tournament of triples “HONEMSEM Prerov“ has been organized with the participation of the world's best players. In 2008 this competition was a part of European Cup of men.
